I, @Mortification77 / realDonaldRump, am a Cybersecurity Engineer, Systems Administrator for both Linux and Windows, Multi-Language Programmer, and IoT Device Engineer who also does some (currently limited) 3D Design. I also enjoy building sensors of any kind, especially those related to ionizing radiation.
I am a Husband and Father who loves spending time with my family. I am also an avid Boater and Fisherman who fishes the Great Lakes, Canada, and various inland US Lakes and Rivers.
I am an all-around Geek who enjoys reading and researching anything technical, political, or outdoors related. I am a firm believer in the "Trust, but Verify" policy.
Political Views
Politically, I am Libertarian, but since the USA has yet to move beyond the two-party system, I am a true swing voter. The party I vote for changes from one election to another based on candidates or the current status quo. On the Left / Right Political Spectrum, I am generally a Left-Leaning Independent.
I am, obviously, ANTI-TRUMP and ANTI-MAGA -- mainly because I am a free thinker who is fully capable of performing my own research and forming my own opinions based on that research.
I believe that The Constitution and the rights provided by it -- especially Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Press, the Right to Bear Arms, Term Limits, and ESPECIALLY Checks and Balances -- are the cornerstone of the United States of America, and should be non-partisan and applied equally to everyone.
EXAMPLE: I spent time in DC with a group of students who decided to all purchase MAGA Hats to walk around DC with. There were people calling them names and yelling at them. While I despise MAGA and everything it stands for, I feel that the students had a right to express themselves as they saw fit, and if an altercation would have occurred, I would have been the first in line to defend those students.
Trumpers commonly tell me that I should "Choose Jesus" or "Choose God", calling Democrats "demons", but they do not know who they are talking to. I am a Catholic, have been my entire life, and feel I have a great relationship with my Church and God. I volunteer there, my kid went to school there, and I fully support the Pope.
- Do I fully support everything that the Democrats stand for? No.
- Do I fully support everything that the Republicans stand for? Another No.
- Do I vote independent? No, because it is (currently) a waste of vote. I hope independents gain traction in the near future.
I believe that many issues that separate the Left from the Right are issues that have NO PLACE in government. What someone does in the bedroom has no place in government. As far as abortion, I have never and would never have someone have one on my behalf, BUT I feel that it is someone's OWN SOUL that they are responsible for.
Why do I despise Donald J Trump?
- First off, realDonaldRump was NOT born from Donald Trump's Presidency -- He was born from Trump 2.0. He was always a tool and nothing will change that, BUT this is NOT the same man from 2016. He always rambled, but didn't ramble about nuclear weapons to kids in the White House. When Trump LOST the 2020 Election, he also lost his mind (or he is just TOO OLD).
- Mainly, I spend most of my day troubleshooting problems on computer systems, so my brain is highly trained to pick up on anomalies. When I listen to or look at Trump, I see nothing but anomalies.
- I also spend a lot of time coding and designing, so my brain processes things logically. Donald makes so many conflicting statements about the same thing, that the logic fails.
- I always tell the truth and I expect the same in return. I have walked out of car dealerships simply because the salesperson moved numbers around and told me the "great deal" that I was receiving -- only for me to see the same exact price online. I pay for store items that a clerk may have forgotten to scan the next time I am there. Donald will say something and contradict it within the next two minutes, so truth is logically impossible.
What do I think should happen to change this?
If the USA is to continue with the two-party system, then I really believe that the VP should be the loser of the Presidential Race. Parties should work TOGETHER.
